Gohar Rasheed and Bilal Ashraf talk about Rangreza, their upcoming Pakistani film. It has powerful music, a strong message and a romance and is termed as a family film. TRWM recently caught up with the Rangreza cast and talked about the story and their characters. Bilal Ashraf and Gohar Rasheed, the lead cast of the film, talked about Rangreza the film, Pakistani industry, content, stars and funny audience reactions.
Gohar talked about his role in Rangreza (that is of a tabalchi/tabla player). Gohar had much to say about the message and content of the film. He said this is a film everyone can watch and enjoy as a family.
Gohar also talked about his famed role in Mann Mayal as the evil husband of Mannu (Maya Ali) and Mujhe Jeene Do. He talked about the social responsibility of actors to bring about change in content and in screens. He says he refuses to do any role in which the character is involved in any kind of domestic abuse.
Oh and did you know? Gohar does an amazing mimicry of Imran Khan! Check out the interview here:
TRWM also talked to the star of the Pakistani film “Janaan” and “Yalghaar”, Bilal Ashraf. Bilal is the male lead of Rangreza, he talked about the success of Janaan, the emergence and the possibilities that can be explored in Pakistani cinema and the phenomena of Bilmeena. Bilmeena – a combination of Bilal and Armeena’s names, is a phenonemon where everyone desperately wants him and Armeena Rana Khan to be together (they starred together in Janaan and Yalghaar). Bilal tells us that he wishes Armeena and Fesl (Armeena’s engaged to UK-based Fesl Khan) the best of luck and we hope that fans would now go crazy over Bilal and Urwa who are starring opposite each other in Rangreza.
Bilal says that his character in Rangreza is of a rockstar, who has money, power, success and fame and this story is about his journey and there are some interesting ups and downs.
