Top 5 Pakistani Businesses You NEED to Shop From

I am a huge fan of local businesses. Supporting local craft, entrepreneurs and at the end of the day getting something unique and special is how one should roll. So I have rounded up for you some awesome local businesses you should shop from.

The Craft Company

Headed by the incredible Muna Siddiqui, here’s where you will find a local craft that is a notch above the typical Zainab Market trinket. Wooden trays with traditional patterns, mosaic nameplates, vintage PIA advertisement coasters, the pieces are quirky and very Pakistani. These crafts make very unique gifts so check them out here.

The Art Geek Tag

Zainab makes hand painted accessories in bright, fun colours for her customers.I have been eyeing her Zalima ring and the emoji pins for quiet some time. And the way she packages everything! It’s a whole envelope of doodles, graffiti, a lunar phase mobile and lots of cute doodads. Super unique gifts for that funky teenager in your life.

The Dhurrie Project

The Dhurrie Project sells amazing handcrafted bags made from the dari material very common in Pakistan. The service is excellent and the product, sturdy, colourful and very spacious. They have a variety of styles from bucket bags, totes and clutches. The owner sent me a shirt piece to make up for the delayed order. I love customer service like this and it is only guaranteed when you shop locally.

Cocoon by Amna Baber

Every shoe addict should have a Cocoon design in her collection. Her tan strappy sandals are so comfy and when paired with a bright pedicure, you will strut through summer. The service was kind enough to send me two sizes when I wasn’t sure about it. You can check out her other designs on her Facebook and Instagram.

Stratford Street by Mariam Rehman

This is one of my favourite places to shop from of all time. I first bought a pair at a craft show and got so many compliments every time I wore them. She has a variety of flats, sandals and slip-ons. The materials of the shoes are top notch and the soles are so comfortable you could not ask for anything better. And all of these styles for under Rs. 2000. This business is one to look out for!

These are some businesses I love shopping from. What about you? Let me know!
