Macate Group have launched in the UK this week, opening a new office in London to join their others in North America, South America, China, the Middle East and Africa. The first item to arrive will be their smartphone Genio which is a mid-range cyber security phone priced at £249. It comes with 256-bit advanced encryption standard (AES) which is also found in the Samsung S8 and iPhone 7. The Genio has superior security to those devices though since it is able to automatically detect a user’s location and uses the IP address of a geo-locater to adapt the encryption level depending on the country where the device is being used. With other phones the encryption level is static.

The Genio features a 5.0 HD screen, 13 MP rear and 5 MP front camera and is available in a range of stylish colours namely white, light golden, black and champagne.  It operates on Android 7 and has NetMe pre-installed which is Macate’s secure communication app. NetMe allows sharing of video messages and files as well as offering users the chance to chat with friends and family. It is secure, encrypted and free of charge.

Genio’s technology was developed by Codetel, the specialist software division of Macate. It will automatically detect the phone user’s location and provide the highest possible grade of encryption for the country that user is in, which means wherever you go, you have peace of mind that your information is secure.

Macate had much success in the US last year with their GATCA Elite Cyberphone which featured Codetel Security Solution and was purpose-built to halt cyber threats. The company was founded by Isaac Daniel in 2001 who was the original inventor of GPS-embedded shoes.
