Corporate events can end up being very similar to each other and unfortunately this doesn’t make them memorable. Therefore, if you want to organize an event which guests will talk about for a while, and one which will make your business stick in their minds, consider throwing some entertainment gadgets into the mix.
Cover the Basics
Great entertainment is one part of the equation but you also need to ensure all the basics are covered. First, make sure you hire sufficient numbers of tables and chairs for all those attending. There is nothing worse than people having to stand through a long event, especially if those people are your clients.
Second, book catering which comes highly recommended. Even if you are only supplying drinks and snacks, make them delicious and in keeping with the theme of the event. Cocktails, and mocktails for those who need to drive home, always go down well.
Theme Your Event
If possible try to theme your event and you can then book entertainment which fits into this overall design idea. Casino nights, live bands, stand-up comedians and magic shows are always popular. However, they are also common at many events so add variety by booking some gadgets to liven up the night.
- Photo Booths: These are making a huge comeback and people love being able to take home the photos on the day as a memento. If you theme your event, add a box full of clothing and props which fit in with this. Adults love to dress up and a top hat, fake moustache or purple wig really helps them to let their hair down. Some photo booths will even project the images onto a wall at the event for everyone to see or send the pictures direct to your mobile, great for sharing on social media and bringing more visibility to your brand.
- Games Consoles: Games always go down well at corporate events as they are just a bit different to the standard fare. Set up a PS4 or Xbox One and a few games of your choice. ‘Guitar Hero’, karaoke or dance games are usually a hit, especially after people have had one or two of those cocktails. You could even go old-school and hire a vintage arcade game such as ‘Space Invaders’ or ‘Sega Rally’.
- Virtual Reality: If you want to bring your gaming up to date you can now even hire ‘Oculus Rift’ headsets to let your guests experience a little virtual reality. A gadget like this will definitely be a talking point as few people will previously have had the opportunity to try it out.
- Dance Floor: If you want to bring out a little ‘Saturday Night Fever’ from those attending, especially if you have booked a disco or live music, you can’t go far wrong with an LED Dance Floor. These come in a variety of designs and will turn any venue into something special, from your company’s conference room right through to a large ballroom.
Entertainment gadgets work so well for making your event memorable because they aren’t run of the mill and people rarely have access to them elsewhere. They also bring people together and create an atmosphere of fun. This lifts the night from being a routine corporate event into something much more memorable, good for your guests and great for the reputation of your business.
