Foxcroft & Ginger bringing ‘Craft Food’ to the masses

Who doesn’t like fresh food? Who doesn’t like locally sourced, organic food? Who, I repeat who, would say no to something that tastes better, richer, healthier, and hey, even looks good. That is the art of craft food, the art of dropping corporate labelled and pre-packaged foods in favour of making everything from scratch, using small batches, local ingredients, and with that magical ingredient, love (and care).

Foxcroft & Ginger of Soho and Whitechapel (London) have all this on offer, and they pride themselves in having as much of the menu in house as possible. Their offerings include bread, cakes, sausages, condiments, sauces, dips, pickles, jams, and a winter menu full of delights.

Quintin Foxcroft, the owner, had the following to say:

We make everything in house as this gives us more creative flexibility. Plus we know exactly what ingredients go into each product. We are specific about our quality and flavours and this is the only way we can ensure everything is of the highest standard.

The range includes breakfasts, lunch, and dinner. Owned by Quintin (Mr. Foxcroft) and Georgina (with her redhead pride!), their original Berwick Street site has already developed a cult following, including the likes of Lily Cole, Anne Hathaway and Bill Nighy.
