So this morning I was pleasantly surprised by the delivery of a small package. Ripped opened the packaging, and what do we have there? Nexus 5 case! Happy days!
Spigen SGP Neo Hybrid is this case called. Pretty fancy eh?
It comes in a plastic box, looking very smart and protective. Professional too. So without further ado, I’ve ripped open the case. This is what I thought of it.
Case itself is made with high quality plastic and rubber. Inside of the case is perforated, for what I assume is some kind of shock resistant system to absorb vibrations etc.
On the sides, it’s surrounded with a plastic border, silver in this case (though also comes in metal slate and Champagne Gold (*sic!). To put the case on the phone, we need to take the side border off, then phone slips into it’s rubberised case very easily and fits perfectly. After which, one needs to put the border back on. Now I’d suggest being a little bit careful here, as it gives a feeling at certain point that it could snap with enough pressure. Mine didn’t though. Happy days.
After slotting the phone in the case, I have to say it looks…. right. Just right. It obviously is slightly bigger. But not in a wrong way. Feels a little bit heavier, in a way that now you feel you hold something (N5 be default is rather light). Buttons are nicely aligned. All in all, this is a very good case, and if you haven’t got one yet – I’d suggest you do pick it up.
MobileFun are supplying those at £19.99 which I think is rather low considering it’s a premium case.
