horizontal_lumoback_sensorSometime back we featured the LUMOback, an app assisted device that monitors your posture, and sends you alarms and notifications to correct it. This ensures that your back stays in the best possible position, and hence prevents future back troubles.

Originally the sensor only worked with devices from the Apple range, but today they have released an Android app to go with the device.

The app not only works with LUMOback, but also integrates the popular calorie counting app, MyFitnessPal. Users can use it with the Galaxy S3, S4, Nexus 4 and 5, HTC ONE, and Motorola G. It helps improve posture, which impacts back pain, fitness, confidence and appearance. The Android app is available from today, for free.

With MyFitnessPal integration, users can wear the LUMOback throughout the day, and it will automatically adjust the calorie goal to reflect the activity level.

The device connects wirelessly over Bluetooth to the app, and a stickman called LUMO tracks your posture and activities in real time. It also tracks steps, calories burnt, time standing, time sitting, and number of times users stand up each day. It also provides you with a daily posture score, so that progress can be monitored.

LUMOback is now compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4, Nexus 4 and 5, HTC One, and Motorola G . Apple devices are also compatible. Both the Android and iOS app can be downloaded for free from Google Play and the Apple App Store.

LUMOback is available now for £129.95 from Amazon.co.uk. For further information visit www.lumoback.com.
