O2 UK bringing 4G on the 29th of August

O2 4G

The first one to follow EE’s success on 4G, O2 have today announced that they will be bringing their 4G network to London, Leeds and Bradford on the 29th of August. This will be followed by another 10 cities by the end of the year: Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Liverpool, Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry, Sheffield, Manchester and Edinburgh.

More information about this can be found at their page:

O2 already offer a load of 4G Ready phones, and they have also offered iPhone users who bought an iPhone 5 from them (between Sep 2012 and March 2013) an early upgrade when 4G is released.

Sadly, there is no news for us in Oxford about 4G, but we’ll surely be trying this as soon as we get a chance to visit any of the lucky cities soon!
