TYLT’s Y-Charge brings dual device car charging to the masses

By the advent of the Micro-USB standard on most smart phones, and the Apple chargers for the others, carrying chargers in cars has become a lot easier than it used to be. Having said that, more and more devices are power hungry these days, and you can never have enough ports available on a car. In fact, I am pretty sure we’ll see 2 to 4 USB charging ports on our cars soon. Till then TYLT have the solution for us.

Their award winning ‘Y-Charge’ gives you two USB ports, and the shape means it can be accessed from the driver’s side or the passenger’s side. Two versions exist, which give you either 2.1A total, or 4.2A total if you want to charge your tablets and devices faster.

“Car chargers have evolved little since their proliferation. Consumers are weary of low-grade, slow-charging accessories and tangled wires that detract from the cache of their device, from the aesthetic of their cars,” says Kannyn Macrae, Director of Product Development and Marketing at TYLT.

He adds: ”The TYLT Y-Charge represents the largest leap of form and function evolution in this category”

These can also be used with TYLT’s already available Tangle free cables, which come with a Lightning connection for Apple users, or Micro Usb for the rest of the crowd.

They are made of highly durable silicone, and come in red, blue, green and black.
