If you ever feel that your computer is getting a bit hot, Cooler Master are the people to go for. Here we review one of their really amazing stands called Jas Pro.
What is it?
It is a stand to place your laptop or MacBook on. By raising it above the surface, it allows air to flow around even better and hence allows your laptop or MacBook to run cooler.
What is so special about this?
A few things. First of all, it looks great.
Made from high grade aluminium, this supports a scratch resistant design.
The design can also be adjusted for various heights, according to your needs:
Best of all, it can be folded up for easy carrying. The thing profile means that it is easy to slide into your bag, while the Aluminium shell means it is very light weight.
So, does it work?
Yes. It does. A simple raising of the computer works very well. This works on the principle of passive cooling, which means it does not have any extra elements of cooling in it.
I tried my laptop, which does get very hot.
I attached a thermometer (one of those fridge ones) on the heat vents of the computer, and let it run with a video playing. I found that on my laptop, that is when it gets the hottest.
So, on a flat surface, the laptop went up to 60.3 degrees! With the Jas Pro, that was an astonishing 45 degrees C. A difference of 15 degrees, just by placing it on this.
In fact, the cooling is so good, you can even use it in its fully folded position and still get a lot of air flow.
What else can it do?
Not only does it support your laptop, but you can also use it to have your tablet up, or even a secondary monitor or laptop up. With the lid closed, this can also be a stand for your laptop.
Can I have it in the living room?
Yes, it does look good enough to be in the living room, the kitchen, your dining table, or your office.
I like it! How do I get it?
It can be bought from various online retailers, even from the Apple store. The following link gives you a bit more information about the product as well as how you can get it:
It retails for €55 on their own store, which is a great price and translates to about £46 at the time of writing.
A beautiful and lovely device which is not only portable, but also extremely effective in cooling. Price is probably the only thing that will make you wonder if you want it or not, but personally, once you have experienced what it can do, you wouldn’t mind paying for it. The build quality alone makes it worth it.Google+
