PechaKucha Night

I shall be giving a presentation at Science Oxford on the 3rd of February, 2011, on their PechaKucha night.

The words PechaKucha stand for ‘chit-chat’ in Japanese, and it shall be a platform for various people of scientific backgrounds to come forward and present.
As written on the website:

Devised in Tokyo in February 2003, PechaKucha Night is an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. 20 images x 20 seconds is a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.

My proposed presentation is ‘Talking about science!’, where I shall be taking a slight comic approach on teaching people about how to talk about science. In other words, I will try to separate the boring from the inspiring, and how to go from one end to the other.
I invite all of you to come along, and spread the word 🙂
